Call for Submissions - OUT-OF-MAP: Feminist Narratives of Public Space
The Call for Postcards OUT-OF-MAP: Feminist Narratives of Public Space invites artists, architects, designers, researchers, students, citizens, activists, and anyone interested to participate in a collective reflection on how feminist perspectives can reshape the way we understand our cities, with a particular focus on open public spaces.
The call aims to collect contributions in the form of postcards and to select a group of them for the exhibition scheduled for October 2026 in Barcelona.
Participants are invited to be guided by one or more of the following questions, not necessarily to answer them directly, but to carry them as companions in their reflection on how we live in, and wish to live in, our cities while creating their postcard:
- What makes a public space feminist?
- How do we experience public space through different identities?
- How does a feminist public space look and feel?
- Which stories are included, and which remain invisible?
- How can feminist perspectives transform the way we imagine, plan, design, and use public space?
